2007 Colonial Bouquet Plate

The delicate, white petals of the Cherokee rose, Georgia's state flower, are interspersed amid an arrangement of pink azalea, peach blossoms, and wild blue phlox. The bright green leaves represent the live oak, the state tree, and climbing hydrangea. Georgia became known as the "Peach State" because of its growers' reputation for producing the highest quality fruit. In 1995, the peach became the official state fruit.
